Hi board, sorry I have not posted many pics lately, the cows have keep most of my time lol. Anyway I'm searching for a dairy parlor like this or just the stalls. Would like to find 4 or 6 stalls. I love my stall barn but the milking is hurting my dad (61) he loves milking and he had a parlor like this years ago and I know he'd like another. So I figure with this type of parlor I can have the tie stall for housing and feeding for winter months and feed protein individual while in summer graze them and feed grain inside parlor. Anyone way any pics or info on then would be amazing as well, if I can find blue prints or specs id just build them myself. Btw here are some pics ive found and some moving and combine pics aswell

Back in 1972 I built my own milking parlor. Straight sides and straight thru design. Got the plans from Sta-Rite company and built it. Easy to do and pour floor and pit and gutters myself. Bought a pipeline milker from DeLavel and had 4 claws. Milked 4 on a side, but could be built in any number on a side you want. Worked great, never had a problem, and the straight thru design was easy to make, no saw tooth. Took it out 20 years ago to build into a shop. Have to see if I can find the literature.

Looks somewhat like a Surge Auto-Flo. That's what I
have, and I like it. 3 stalls to a side, and they
can open in any order - slow cows don't hold up the
whole side. Not sure if Westfalia-Surge still makes
the Auto Flo or not... if they do, it will be on
their web site.

You might want to call the Lincoln Park Zoo in
Chicago. They had an almost new looking one for
sale on ebay some months ago. I don't think it
received any bids. I think it was a two stall,
but it would make a good template to make some
more.

That design is a side opener. Surge marketed one
called an "auto flow". We had one for nearly 30
years... we went to a herringbone.

I milked in a parlor just like the brocher 3 on each side auto feeders and door closers. Out of 180 cows there were always a couple of cows that knew how to let themselves out before they were done milking and the ones that would try to get in before door closed.Milking cows nothing like getting smacked in the face with a wet tail at 5:00am I would walk out on the lot all clean and in less than 5min be covered in crap, I worked for the neighbor milking for 8 years and would do it again if I could, now they use illegals to milk

These parlors where very popular in east tenn in late seventies and early eighties everybody had one that milked three or four in a single sided barn Fender dairy supplie in the enka/candler area of western nc knows where 4 stall set up is that is almost new complete with air operated stalls thAt is for sale. They will tell u that they slow to milk in but they are not but they r not one slow milking cow will hold up others in a Herringbone or a parallel these r individual will require alittle more work on the milk hand to operate thou fenders phone #is828-389-1519
