jd 343 corn

I'd sort of like to find one as well. It seems as if $1500 is almost always the asking price. This seems to disregard condition. I have no idea of their actual selling price.

In support of their asking price is the fact that many 3300's came with 244 corn heads rather than the 343. Since most people now subscribe to the narrow row, the 244 is somewhat obsolete and everybody who has a 3300 wants a 343. There might not be enough to go around.

im in maryland and i have been checking prices locally and the dealers want 3 to 4 k which is more than i was expecting. looked at 3300 with 213 flex but no corn head. want to see if i could find corn head before buying combine.

i liked the little combine but if heads are hard to find may have to check out some auctions for something else or possibly see if theres a way to convert another head to fit

William, I still have the 343 and 244 available here in Ohio. The 244 parts all interchange on to the 343.

i saw one sold here in the classified for 800 a year ago. now the demand must have gone up. i usually miss the good deals. case and point i looked for six months for a donor truck to switch my old dodge farm truck to manual trans. gave up and got one 400 mile away then a couple weeks later one for sale in local paper

I have a near perfect JD 343 head that came off a JD 3300. I would be willing to sell it. Shot me an email and we can talk about it.

I have been looking for the adaptor plate to install it on a JD 3975 forage chopper. I had a friend that wanted one. He now is unable to keep his livestock.

(quoted from post at 22:59:00 01/20/15) Worst case, could you cut down a four or six row unit to make a three row unit?
ont know if it's possible or if someone's done that before we have the equipment to fabricate

Hi elevatorman, just curious, what are the jd 3300s like in general? i have a 4400 and it has been very reliable, easy to set up, easy to fix,and parts available.---john

They are cute like little combine. Not to popular. I was thinking about buying a local one in so so shape if could find corn head for it. But probably better off getting 4400 like yours. There is also 708 uni combine with heads for sale cheap I'm considering. It doesn't make sense but I like the little deere
