in the last corn field of the season ,, been a real rascal of a harvest ,, after new turbo charger , and a rebuilt injector pump ,and being sidelined for nearly 30 days,, the perkins motor in the 750 massey has never run better ,FINALLY,shelled about 2500 bushels , and then the back axle came off ,,with a full loaded bin ...never gave a clue I had a problem back there ,, anyways ,, it is fixt now ,, did not break anything ,, just come apart ,, took 3 of us and a loader tractor , lots of cribing ,chains come alongs , did NOT even break a single hydro line... 6 row head as counter balance sure helped balance the worx ,,.

Where are u located at......that u are still combining!?
Hope it's not the Massey combine that has delayed your harvest this long!?
Might want to consider updating your combine!? Congratulations on getting done........

Glad you got it back together fairly easily without damage. The rear axle came off my 105 with a full tank and the auger hanging over the road ditch. There wasn't anything solid under the combine to jack against but I finally got the job done without help. I must have had a half a pickup load of blocks under it by the time the combine was back up high enough to get the axle back under it.

mostly lifes health setbacks , bad luck , stakt, nearly broke my leg , and foot Christmas morning,,still hobblinaround ,, and the wife is wheel chair bound , keeping me out of the field when I assumed there would be a few more decent days WRONG,that massey is a good machine ,, but it has been very ornery this season ..

My dad lost the rear axle on a 7720 junk deere maybe ten years ago roughly darn thing broke rite in half in the center. I was just glad i wasnt running its always no big deal when dad breaks somthing anyone and oh boy haha. But we had two i dont if they were same years or not but that one always gave us trouble in beans. Only ran the deers in beans and wheat so we could bale the long straw IH 1440 axle flow always did all the corn.

Sorry to hear of all the misfortune throughout last fall......hopefully better luck with the new year!!!! God bless!

The welding on the pivot of the 6620 rear axle broke, by the highway , of course. Took a while to empty, jack it up, and had a fellow weld it. held together for the rest of its life.

seems like a screw up cloud follows me around ,, a week after my leg accident , Igoofed and let pops 430 freeze up and crak , wasfeeding cows after dark with the case 430 I bought from the family ,,had been flushing radiator that day and intended to add antifreeze when I got back to the shop ,,sumthin happened to hydrostat steering to where it had the wheels stuck left ,, couldn't do nuthin but drive in a circle , and could not see the problem ,shut the 430 off drained the radiator,, limped back quarter mile to house , watched weather , saw where temps were dropping into teens that nite ,, went bak out with gallon antifreeze ,snowing now ,,,could not get squat out of starter ,, arced across solenoid ,, still nuthin ,, wth ...bad connections ,,. judged the 430 blok had drained , and would be ok,, WRONG,,, 1st lite next morning, I go out there with the 800 and jumper cables and started the 430 rite up .. the water pump was stuck , she was froze , lossened the fan belt and let her run , til she thawed , ,,noticed hairline crak ,, on blok , turned out to be a foot long , took the 430 to ray in Hodgenville ky , in 2 days he had it fixt ,, never welded nuthin , he used nasa space tech counterswedge bolts, drilled about a 100 9/64ths holes and placed a bolt in each one ,titened till it sheared off , then hit it with 3000 degree epoxy done such a clean job you cant tell it ever happened ,, cost me 800 bux with lifetime guarantee , it would a been a overhaul if we tried welding that foot long crak , no way the sleeve seals woulda took the heat, probably would a lost the blok because of chasing the crak ,, it has been 20 days and so far so good
