960 case combine

Guys I need some advice. One of the local CaseIH dealers ha A Case 960 combine for sale. I know nothing about the machine. But it is the very last year 960. They are asking $1,500 for the machine. Saying the machine is in average condition what is the machine worth. Or more importantly what should I offer. The combine looks to be in good condition from the pictures

I have one in what I consider to be good condition. Always shedded and took it straight to the field when I bought it. Guy was asking $1500, but had not had any serious buyers. It was 3 hrs from me, so I asked if any room to move on the price before going to look at it. He said he'd take $1,000 if I promised to use it and not part it out. I was more than happy with that deal. It has a small grain pickup head on it that I use for swathed oats. Works great!

This machine has been for sale for awhile. Think I will offer him $1000 for it. Just no market for a old small machine down here.
