Mine went like this:

1. Massey 410 gasser. I don't want to talk about it.
2. JD 6600 with the 329. Great little combine
3. JD 7720 Titan II. What a horse from what I was used to.
Current: 2188 MFWD. Love it.
Next? Low houred 2388 if I could find one.

Allis Chalmers 66 All crop. Came to the farm in 1977. Pulled it with a JD 70. WAY to fast of a first gear for this machine.
In 1989 a 1965 JD 45EB open station. Added a cab the following year.
In 2001 a 1969 JD 45EB v-belt drive.
In 2013 a 1981 JD 4420.
After over 20 years running 45's, the 4420 seems like a Cadillac! LOL

started with MF super 92
got 2 more super 92,s, one with cab
510 Massey diesel with cab
2 more 510 masseys
6600 JD (with a/c) woohoo

still use 6600,been a good machine if you don't have to change belts....

Started out riding a G 4 Minnie combine when I was younger. Father traded for a 1951 JD 55 that the unload auger did not fold on,it was a real pain to move down the road. Traded it for a year old JD 55 Round Back that I ran a lot. My first machine was a C II Gleaner Diesel. Traded it for an L Gleaner. Ran a New Holland TR 70 for over 5000 hours and then started hiring custom cutters.

I have operated - MF 750, 760. JD 95, 6600, 7720, 8820. Gleaner A, A II, F.

Started farming 1963 with JD 96, 96, 6601,7700,8820,9600. Started farming again 2014 with a IH 2188, not to impressed.

IH #80

410 Massey-with the 4 cylinder Perkins

750 Massey-with the Perkins

and now 1660 CaseIH-with the Cummins, this one should take me to the end.

AC 72 . it got hit head on moving it on road so now debating fixing it, or getting a another one and using one for parts. get another pulltype. Almost bought a 42 jd several years ago with both heads and although the crop seemed to gather to one side going thru the threshing part think it would have been the best. Also considering a mf 35,mf 300 ,jd 30 or a gleaner E or K. Which ever falls into my price range when i am in the market.I didnt farm for several years and now the price on everything seems so outrageous. Saw my old fertilizer spreader advertised and i think solld for $900.oo lol

Started on a 181 international with my father watching then 510 massey by my self then several 915's 1460's 1480's now 2188 2388 and two 8010's

John Deere 30 (bought new by my dad and grandpa...still have it).

1963 John Deere 55 Hi/Lo (serial number was ABOVE the break. Should have been a squareback by the number).

1976 John Deere 4400. Ran that thing around the world.

1982 John Deere 7720. A good, solid machine.

1997 John Deere 9500. Best combine I've ever owned or been around.

I also have a 1968 45 that I use for Antique Harvest Days and a spare 30 I have for parts. I also have a 227 corn picker on a 620 and am going to mount one of my 237's on a 4010 gas later this year with a 50 sheller on the back. I also have a nice New Idea 311 picker that is used at the show as well. Mike

MF 205 had a neat rock trap set up..
1979 gleaner k2
1983 gleaner F3, best machine I have owned.
1993 JD 9400 no complaints, Mike help me set it up right.

We always kept them longer than most thus the list is brief. Mostly traded when capacity was needed. I am pretty sure that the 42 handled two rows of corn better than the 300. The 300 would thresh more but the 42 would clean more so it seemed.
John Deere 25
John Deere 42
Massey 300

I had to sit and think for a bit and think, Then laugh alittle after thinking about all the machines I bought and use and sold over the years. So hear goes.

2 AC 60 pull types
1 AC 72
1 AC 90
1 AC 100 sp
3 Gleaner A's
1 Gleaner A11
2 Gleaner E's
1 Gleaner E111
1 Gleaner C11
1 Gleaner K
1 JD 45 EB
1 JD 55 Corn Special
2 JD 95 Corn Specials
1 JD 4400
1 Oliver 525
1 Oliver 545
1 White 7600
1 MF 300
1 MF 510
1 Case 660
1 MM 2942 (I think that was number)
1 IH 303 no cab

These are all the combines I bought and used then sold, Traded off or for something else. Some were bought in the winter at sales brought them home cut wheat with them that summer and before fall somebody would come looking for one and I would sell it. I always seam to find them when I didn't need them but the price was right so I bought them. A few I wish I had back and some I wish I had never seen! The Gleaner A11 I sold out in the field and the guy wanted right then after he ran it in the field. I told him he had to wait till I finished the last 4 acres left in the field then he could have it, My other combine was 12 miles away. I guess I am color blind when it comes to farm equipment. Been a while. Thought I would respond.

My farming career starting in 1993.

1982 JD7720
1986 8820 Titan II in 2002
Currently using 1969 JD 95 on scaled down acreage.

Dad bought a 12A new in 1941.
Another 12 A a couple years later.
JD 25.

Then a stint with a couple Molines.
I believe a G-6 pull type, and then traded for another pull type Moline.

Then back to JD's in the late 60's.

JD Low line 65 with power unit.
JD 45 SB
JD 55's, at least 2 or 3, late model SB's, my Dad and uncle would go up to North Dakota in the 70's, buy a 55, use it for a year or two, sell it locally, and go get another one.

Usually ran two machines as they did a lot of custom work at the time, all small grains and soybeans, no corn.

JD 95 SB, late model SB.

1975 JD 4400 gas.

1978 JD 6600 hydro.
1978 JD 6600 posi torque.

These last two are the machines I grew up on, usually ran the posi torque, both had 404 diesels, the posi torque would run all day on 4 gallons/ hour, while the hydro took 5.

Belle City thresher (was pretty young- got in way more than anything)
Dad hired neighbor with IH 80 behind Oliver. Didn't like to stop to unload so we had to drive pickups under his auger- ran truck bumper into his rear tire couple times- makes truck bounce good.
Got my own 82 behind dad's Ford 5200D.
Now running 4400 w/ 213 flex head.
