1460 hydraulic issues part 2

Having eliminated the problem being electric I looked over the spool valves more closely today. It was pretty cold out when I took out the valve stack and more so today so I brought it in the garage. Once I got to looking, the raise spool valve seemed weak. It didn't push back so I thought the spring might be weak. Low and behold I emptied it in my hand and the spring broke. When looking more closely I think the poppet and orifice looks to have a very slight wear where they meet. I called case Ih as we have a new " mega dealer" since they closed my local guy. Their prices were outrageous! For the tiny spring alone was $21! I'm wanting to bargain shop for these parts. Any suggestions?

don't feel to bad I had to give $13 a piece for the detent lock springs on the remotes for our 1086, if I could have found the same size and right tension from another source they might have cost 50 cent, one of the biggest rip offs is o'rings

Just how much fun did you have taking the entire valve off of this machine? I think a few dollars for the right part is well worth not having to do the job again or not fixing the original problem. Good time to reseal the rest of the valve too.
