This Should Be Cheap Enough

Thanks 1206 for publicizing my ad, had quite a few responses so I've suspended the ad for now. The first response last night was from a guy that's less than 50 miles away. Was wondering if someone on this forum could verify the year of it, 55H serial number 44291, I'm assuming it was built in the 1st half of 1958, but possibly late 57.

Thanks,

Matt

Matt, any chance you could post more pictures of it? Is the leveling mechanism all mechanical or is it hydraulic? Always been fascinated by combines and we don't have any hillside machines here!

1957 is the year. 1958 models started at serial number 46801. I have a pair of 1957 55s. I'm going to check the serial numbers on mine tomorrow to see if they are anywhere close to your combine. If you were on my side of the Rockies that combine would have been coming home with me. Sounds like it will be going to a good home which is great.

Thanks greenenvy, I finally found my old notes and I had that '57 was the final year for the Hercules engine which mine has. Was also wondering if anyone has a source for a replacement flat separator drive belt on these older 55s? Thanks again
