In search of 1460 hydraulic expert

Need to talk to someone about my 1460. The header raises constantly not noticeable at idle but at half or full throttle it raises quite quick with me not touching the switch. It's an electric machine. I have the valve stack off and on my bench but need advice from there

Just a thought- maybe it's the auto. header height control circuitry screwing up?
My 1660 has the opposite problem. I replaced "o" rings, and a spring in the part where you adjust lowering speed. It made no difference in my header leaking down, running or not. Next I'll have to pull the valve stack out.

Not an expert but heres my two cents. First did you eliminate the possibility of an electrical issue? If not you're pissing in the wind. If so---then proceed to disect the header lift valve spools--noting carefully where everything comes out---look for a broken spring or any foreign material. Use the cnh parts diagram for help. Put it back together. If you don't find anything and hadn't ruled out electrical issues I wouldn't be surprised.

Yes, I had the electrical disconnected and tested and it still did the same thing. Going to change spool valves no visible problems in the valve stack

AHHC can cause this, or even if you have the manual valves for various HH and accumulator header float settings wrong.

Do you have the third cylinder installed for heavy headers, and how heavy / big is the header you have on it.

Not being able to lower the feeder housing without a header or having it rise when the hyd oil is cold is the nature of the beast.
