Gleaner F corn settings

Thanks everyone for your advice on helping me figure out the settings on the F. I ran cyl speed at 400, concaves at 1,2,and 3, clearance at 3/8?? I know 3/8? Cobs came out whole and my foreign material was at 1. Corn was at 22%. Thanks again.

Yes, those little tabs are kind of goofy. The best you can do is zero out the cylinder, and the tabs, and use them as a rough guide to keep the cylinder square.
I have had to modify the tabs to get them to zero.

I opened the concave door and zero it out before I ran soys. I run the Trimpe bars so I'm wondering if they make more of difference in 22-24% corn?

Wow, 3/8" is pretty damn tight to pass whole cobs. Are you measuring that by the gauges on the side of the thresher housing?

I put new concave bars in before soys. Dropped the door and ran the cylinder down till 1/16 from the #2 bar. The gauge up on the side read an heavy 1/16 closer to an 1/8 inch so I think I'm pretty close to zero? Book says to start at 1/2 inch .
