Getting pretty hairy down there on that last post. I have a couple things I want to put out there to maybe settle some folks dust a little.
First, for those who don't know me, I run a full time CPA practice here locally...25 years last month. I am the manager and sole shareholder. Keeps me pretty busy. In addition, I have this small farming operation. When I seem hesitant about such questions as oil changes, it can be because I did not do it. Simple things like that are delegated to others. All maintenance has been/was done on the engine. I have verified this with my help and the PO. No one likes to be called negligent. It did not happen. Quite the opposite.
Second, I get the impression that a few folks think I am fighting their positions on what is wrong with the engine. I am not. When I come back at you with a response it is to clarify your point. I do this because (1) I don't know you or your background and (2) I need to make sure the point is valid before I pay hundreds of dollars to a service guy. If I seem to be challenging your position, it is to get more details. I am not saying you are wrong.
Lastly, I am really grateful for all the help and don't want anyone to think otherwise. I basically have one business with few assets and great cash flow and another with tons of assets but only a small positive cash flow. I can't just throw money at an idea without getting a lot of confirmation. Hope this clarifies things! Have a very Merry Christmas guys, and thanks again!
