F2 Gleaner wooden boards that hold teeth on reel

Where can I find the wood and fingers for a 13' platform grain head or is there some update out there to go to steel and plastic the wood boards that hold pickup fingers is getting bad looks like the boards and teeth were all one unit since the teeth are riveted on

Get a box of plastic pick up fingers that are held on by a single carriage bolt and cut your own boards out of ash or oak. Paint the boards and they'll last 30 yrs.

Check with a salvage yard. There was a tear drop reel with plastic teeth. You can up date with plastic teeth on the wood reels. Check with a local Gleaner dealer and see what is available. Years ago i did an M with the tear drop reel. I thought it was much better than the wooden bats and steel fingers.

In the same boat you're in. Did a search on the internet for some plastic bats. Apparently, they were made several years ago, but don't seem to be available anymore.

I have found a few old ones to use, but will be cutting my own boards, or buying from Shoup. For what I'm doing, I like the stiffness of the metal fingers.
