case 1000 combine

what does it have in it? they could have
GO298 Hercules
251 CASE gas
267 CASE gas
284 CASE gas
301 CASE dsl

I feel the 251 was a bit underpowered in the 1000 in heavy grain, the 267 is fine, the 284 will use more fuel but has plenty of power, the Herc's are very nice as well

I will have to pull a parts book to be sure but I do not think so, I have gotten the Herc's loose before, has it been closed up? if you decide to change engines I can look I have a bellhousing here some where, I just have not seen it in 25 years might take a while to find it,,, if you do would you sell the carb off the Herc? I could use a extra one
 
yes the combine has sat out side in the woods since the mid 80's and yes we could work some thing out with the carb thanks for the help my great grandpa bought the combine used at one year old my grandpa bought the combine in 70 when my great grandpa bought a case 1060 my grandpa used it until the engine locked when my dad was combining in 82
