White 8920 combine

Were these combines any good? Im running an old 7300 right now but would like something bigger and quicker.

Also can I run a 4x30 cornhead on the 8920 or would I have to go 6 row?

the 20 series had a reverser for plugs and IMHO was a very good machine think it had the 354 turbo so no problems there. parts are out there and yes they had 4 row heads for them.

I am on my 2nd 8700 now and would agree that an 8920 should be a good combine. I ran 2 7300's before the 8700's and you will it's a big upgrade. I would question running a 4-30 head on one. In looking a literature I have on the 8920, the wheel tread is 7 inches wider than an 8700 and the standard tires are 28L-26 instead of 23.1-26 on the 8700. Also the smallest narrow row head listed for the 8920 is a 6-30.

ou may be right on that one I should have looked in the book first, for some reason I thought you could get a 4-30 or 4-36.
