Ford 200 Industrial Governor

I have a Versatile 400 Swather with a Ford 200 Industrial motor. The governor doesn't seem to be working correctly. Is there a procedure for adjusting the governor on these motors??
Thanks in advance.

Is it full of oil to the required level?

In what way is it not working... engine overspeeding, poor response (engine slowing down under load) or what?

In general, you adjust the length of the linkage between the governor and carb so that the carb throttle lever hits it WOT stop just BEFORE the governor arm reaches the end of it's movement in the WOT direction.

Thanks for your reply.. sometimes it doesn't come back to an idle properly, & it doesn't respond when it's under load.. It doesn't surge or anything. Just not responding like it should..
