Cylinder bars F gleaner

Replacing cylinder bars and I'm thinking these are Timpte or Ausherman? What is the diffrence in the two? What do a lot of guys run?

Maybe they"re original? How are they marked? Have they been modified?

Trimpe will be the original bars that have every other leading edge ground off, the remaining edges will be hard surface welded. I had better luck with Trimpe.
You can take or send your original bars to them to have this work done.

Every other one is ground off. But was trimpe the only ones that did that?

I have a set of aushermans laying in the barn and they are cast that way.

Clarify, cast with wide space openings between threashing edge.

Have you turned your bars around yet? If not turn them and you can run them a lot longer they just need that good edge to grab with.

I have been running Ausherman bars for years and they ware very good. Timpte bars are as good as Ausherman bars so it's up to you. If you get the Ausherman bars get a set of the Ausherman concave bars they make a big difference in thrashing and you can run the cylinder slower. Bandit
