JD 55 with prestolite distributor

My 55 has a 303 engine with a prestolite distributor. There is a little tab where the points fasten to and the condensor wire fasten. The tab has an insulator over the metal. The insulator on mine is getting pretty bad. Does anyone know where such a thing could be found?

I think John Brillman offers one for the Delco but
you might try him on the Prestolite as well.

You could always toss out the old gasser and
install a 329 diesel from a 4400 combine and have a
NICE running 55 with power to spare

If I used the machine enough I would consider the transplant. This year it didn't see 30 acres.
