First of all no relation. I attended a sale Saturday that had 7 complete Rumely tractors, 3 complete Rumely combines and several parts ones laying around.

The Rumely tractors sold between 8k-18k. Most of them were complete and loose but had sat outside a long time.

A 1917 Case car brought $47,000.

This Rumely brought $400 and I believe went to a collector:

This one brought $375 and went to a local that is....a bit different:

This one brought $500 and is headed to a collector from Minnesota:

There were a few more parts Rumelys around and they all are headed to the iron man. Almost all of the equipment went to scrap unfortunately.

I bought this 1929 Rumely W for $11,000. That is quite a chunk of change for a 25 year old guy but I have always wanted one. This one is complete and is loose. I will be on the hunt for a set of rear steel and a correct steering wheel.

Congrats on the purchase. Looks like one of the later Rumelys with everything enclosed. If you have the funds there is no time like the present to buy what you dream of. I was 23 when I bought a Big Bud tractor. Cost me $17,500. I did do about $4,000 in custom work with it so that lessened the blow somewhat.

Well you got a great project that you will have for a life time.

How many of your buddies have a $11K four wheelers or UTV??? I bet some of them. Theirs' will be gone and forgotten long before you will even began your life adventure.

My cousin and I were at the sale. We did not stick around very long due to the weather and having 7 hour drive ahead of us. Do you know what the Indian motorcycles brought?

The one brought 22.5k and I think the other brought 8 or 8,500 but I wasn't paying very close attention. I believe the one went to Haxtun, CO.

It sure is a project but at least the engine is loose.

Lance, congrats on the purchase of your 20-30 W Oil
Pull..I'm sure that you will find rear steel for it..I'll bet that
someone on Smokstak will know of some..It looks real
decent....I take it that the 25-40 X's sold for more than the
prices that we discussed earlier in the week..

Thanks for the results and pictures...I'm glad to hear that
the Rumely combines got saved..Looks like it was a cold old
day..We got 2" of snow here today..

A real nice E Gleaner pull type sold in Kansas on Friday but
I guess that no one on here went to the sale..

One X brought 8k but a tree had grown up through it and done some damage. The one with extensions also brought $11,000 and was one of the first to sell so I was hoping the rest were going to go down a little in price. I was wrong on that thought. I might have been a bit high but it also saves me the cost of fuel having to chase one back east and hauling it.

Congradulations!!! Keep us posted on its progress of getting the ole girl running. I wish I had an old rumley to play with. Good Luck
