White/Cockshutt/Oliver 7300 vs 545

Does anyone know what the differences are between these 2? I have a tired old 7300 and an even more tired one for parts plus a ton of parts besides but came across a good deal on a 545 in good shape. Do a lot of the parts interchange?

A lot of parts should be the same although the 7300 is a later version of the 535, both of which were 34 inch machines. The 545 is a 42-inch machine so there'll be some things that won't interchange.

545 is a 5 walker machine, the 525 is a 3 walker and 535 and 7300 are both 4 walker machines. There are very few minor differences in a 535 and 7300.

so more or less the 545 is a wider, older version of the 7300? a lot of the belts, pulleys, chains and sprockets will be pretty much the same?

Parts like that should be the same, even larger items like transmission and final drives may be the same but I don't have parts books for them so can't say for sure. I think the walkers are the same as well, only one more in the 545. You might be able to find on-line parts books for each machine on Agco's website so you can do a direct comparison.

Obvious differences would be feeder house and chain, cylinder and rear beater and such.
