IH 615 Propulsion drive and gears

So I have been moving my new to me IH 615 around and everything seems to work pretty good except the propulsion drive and the gears. When I start the combine it shifts into all the gears fine. But then if I drive it and use the foot pedal to speed it up or slow it down it doesn't want to go into reverse or 2 or third, it only goes into first. So then I play with the propulsion pedal and it eventually after some time will go into reverse. The one time a buzzer even started to sound in the cab. I havent checked all the linkages yet but am I doing something wrong or is it something else? Thanks in advance

The "buzzer" you were hearing may have been the hydraulic system when the cylinder on the variable speed drive reached the end of it stroke.

I had a 615 and now run a 715. I am not sure why the variable speed would affect your transmissions shifting. Seems like if you clutch is ok and adjusted properly the position of the variable speed should have little effect.

Thats what I thought but everytime I used the pedal to speed the combine up it didn't want to go into reverse after that I had to keep working the pedal and then it would go in.
