If you are talking about connecting the driveshafts there is a special chain coupler designed to do this. I don't have the number in front of me now but others will chime in. Mike
 
My gleaner just uses a short length of #60, the sprockets are special thin ones. The online parts for a 8820 look like that, but maybe they use the double wide links with a full sprocket on each shaft?

Was looking at the combine yesterday, and really how many tiny little bits of metal make it go, all those chain link joints, they pull a lot of power!
