9400 concave setting

I noticed my concave indicator bouncing a little. Eventually it opens up some over 20 acres. Everything looks good, bushings cams etc. any thoughts. Running corn. 1993 9400 combine.

Cousin had 1994 9400. Periodically adjusting the gap was normal operation for us. I can't prove it but real heavy corn would seem to push it open when the cylinder was full. I recollect we were generally adjusting from 8 back to 7. We believed best adjustment was when cylinder full on the move.

it would jump about a number over time. wonder if the electric motor is giving me some fits. This only happens in corn and it is running heavy this year.

Mine does the same thing. I just keep tightening it.

After investigating further, it is the motor actuator, not sure it's that big a deal to spend the money to place a newer one on it yet. Thanks.
