1420 axial flow

I am looking for a pickup head for this combine, what should I be looking for that fits this machine?

The standard pickup head for the 1400 series would be a 13-ft. 810, normally with the IH pickup attachment. Many other pickups can be used such as the Melroe 388 which is a good substantial pickup, the Sund which worked well in short or thin crops, Renn either in drum or draper styles, etc.

This is a picture of my Melroe 388 on my 1460.

Just a word of caution. The Sund pickups have a reputation of also picking up rocks, so if you have small rocks on your land you would be better off buying some other brand.

I had a Sund pickup on a 715 IHC. I don't know how a rock could get up into the combine. This was on top of the Missouri river bluffs. I did many acres with it.
