cant see anything wraped around it, is it possable to have a rock or something caught on the inside?the shaft wont move at all it is stuck. the belt is off the roter it spins just fine

Anything is possible I guess. Check for wire or some foreign material wrapped around the shaft. Also could be a locked up bearing.

They jamb material on the top side up against the sheet metal top. I usually only plugged them in wheat or oats when you have the cylinder set at high rpms. This will throw more material than the straw walkers can carry away. The material can then follow the beater around and plug on the top.

Crawl down to the beater on top of the straw walkers. You can see in there just a little if you take both side panels off the separator sides.

I only had this happen in the middle of the summer. It was great fun crawling down the walkers with it all hot and humid. LOL

One other thing to look at is the position of the curtain behind the beater and above the walkers. If the curtain is in the forward position it often will overload the beater in tough conditions. Move it back a hole and it should help. Mike
