The original subject was "Re: Vertical auger unload elbow on 1420 combine".

IHMANKY had posted about hitting the barn with his auger and thus having trouble with it not extending out all the way, thinking he may have twisted something. I was searching for a solution to a problem I've had with the unloading auger on our 1420 since I clipped the side of a grain bin and bent the ram of the cylinder, when I ran across this similar problem. When we first got our machine, and the auger swung out fully, you could see it from the cab. Since replacing the ram on the cylinder and replacing the cast ring (not because of the first incident) it will no longer swing out to that position. However, the cylinder is still extending out all the way, and when the auger is in the cradle, the cylinder is sucked all the way in...which baffles me as to why the position has changed when it's out. I was hoping to find out if he had any luck in figuring out what happened to his or if anyone else here has a thought on it??
