Pounded out alot of acres today with the new to
me auction bargain 1460 and 820 bean head. Had
zero issues and I had no problem with the head
feeding, even in short beans. Conntantly fed
evenly and with out bunching. So either the 820
head was not so bad, or some one did some great
updates on it, cant not complain for a $4200
soybean rig. Not happy with the blow by of the
engine in the 1460, but she started right up at
28 degrees, had 60-70 psi oil pressure, and
plenty of power. Whats the deal with these
engines and their blow by of oil. Didnt burn
any, but had about 1.5 quarts out of the crank
case vent in about 4 hours of full rated engine
