John Deere 812/612 cornhead

I am looking for a 812/612 20" cornhead that was built for the 95 and 105. I realize they didn't sell many, but I would like to find one as we have been 20" corn for many years.

Good luck finding one I looked for 20 years and still have yet to find or see one, So I did what farmers always do and got creative. I found an AC 8x20 corn head and modified my quick-tach feeder house on my JD 95 and it works great.

Finding 20" corn heads for older combines is a hard thing to do, Finding newer heads is easer but there bigger and expensive. You might have to think about building one from two corn heads to make one. I am sure there are some out there but there going to be hard to find. If you want to make something work let me know I can give you some ideas and how to's like I did on mine. Bandit

It would most likely be easier to find a 643 converted to 20 in rows (or do it yourself) and then use a quick tach to attatch to a 95 or 105.

There was an 812 around here, but wasn't used very long... it spent most of the '70s behind the JD dealer, and then went to scrap.

If you find one, definitely post pictures here!!!!

There was a 'like new' 8x20 JD corn head at a local sale couple years ago.IIRC,it only recieved a single $10 bid.Scrapper got it

Check with Haukos Brothers, Glencoe, MN. Head rebuilder. There are others in MN...sugar beet farmers plant 22 inch rows, most do their corn/beans the same.

thanks all for the input. I will probably just build one out of a 643 when time allows. We did that with an 843 to make a 12 row we still run on a 9650.
