massey head on 5542 white

has anyone ever attempted to mount a massey head on a 5542 white...I have a 18 ft 1859 head and an 1144 corn head that i would love to try on the white...Is there a way?

You might give these guys a call for an adapter or they could most likely tell you what needs to be done to put the massy heads on a White combine.

How wide is the White's throat? Might be best to adapt a MF feeder housing.

I doubt you will find any off the shelf parts to do this, will take fabrication.

The White feeder should be 42 inches wide, so about in the ballpark with a 510.

510 at 45" would be more work than just spacing in a 410 or 540 @ 39".

Trying to adapt the Massey feeder house to the White doesn't make sense. The Massey headers should be adapted to the front of the White feederhouse. Adapters may be available but a good fab shop (or if the OP is handy building things) would be a cheaper alternative.

A 5542 is a newer 431 machine. You don't have enough grain tank for a 4 row corn head if you have decent yielding corn. That was a problem with the old 430 machine with a 2 row corn head.

Well there is always a way to do it, Just get a note book and pin and a tape measure and figure it out. If I put an AC corn head on a JD 95 with a quick tach feeder house anything could be done. Bandit
