How rare or plentiful are the new idea two row corn picker with a shelling bed? In my area (border belt between NC and SC) the units that pick ear corn are plentiful, but I have never seen a shelling bed. what do these units sell for?
I have a combine set up to harvest shelled corn. I only harvest about 8 to 10 acres per year for myself and a neighbor. I always have trouble with this machine.
I pick about 10 acres per year of cob corn with a two row picker. I have very little to no trouble with this unit. I have wondered about buying a new idea unit with the shelling bed and selling the combine. My thought was less motors to care for, less belts, and all around maintenance.
