Shaker bushings changeout

Did the ones on my 6620 last fall. A bit of water for lube and an 8 inch Wilton bench vise make the job easier.

You need to press them in with a vise or in a real pinch I have used a large C clamp. You will tear them up trying to drive them in with a hammer.

I used two sockets to press them in with. One large enough to hold the bar/arm they go into and another that just fits through the pipe they press into. You push on the rubber not the steel center.

I have found silicone spray lube works the best to make them slide easier. It is way easier than using soap.

Yes we used a press with large sockets too. Even used some case-ih sockets on these for my 2188! I put a bit of lube on also. Not the most fun job in the world. Also did some more bearing changes. Wonder how many extra hp it takes to run some growling bearings? It's gotta use some.
