I have never seen or even knew they made one then,, do you know who built them for FORD? Looks to be a very nice machine,, 800-1500?? if they are really rare and I would think they may be up to 2500? just a guess
cnt

They were built by Oliver. Same as the model 25 combine but I believe ford may have installed their own engine. In that shape I would say its easily a 12-15 hundred dollar machine and mabey more to the right person cause there werent to many around to begin with.

Here's some info. I found posted by another blogger in a forum.... Looks like the 611 was the only model that was painted red and that was built by Oliver for Ford...

Ford 642 = Claas Dominator 85
Ford 640 = Claas Mercerator
Ford 630 = Claas Senator
Ford 622 = Claas Consul
Ford 620 = Claas Consul (smaller engine and grain tank)
Ford 611 is the only ford combine that was painted red, and was built by oliver for ford before the contract with claas.

the Ford 642 and the 622 were the last models on the ford combine line. the 611 was the first, 620, 630 and 640 were the next models up from the 611.

The Ford 611 Has a Ford six-cylinder 223 Ci engine, and came with a 10 or 12 ft header and a 2 row corn head. Was built form 1959-1965, Had a 45 bushel bin, a 27.6 in cylinder, 3570 sq. in. of separation area, and 2,534 sq. in. of cleaning area.

I would second it being worth up to $2500.

If you do not buy it Please let me know. I would gladly have a place to keep it in the shape it is currently in.

Its easily worth $2,000,maybe more to a Ford collector......Later today I'll try and post some pictures of Ford 611 combines including mine..

One thing on that machine, I am 99% sure power steering was standard and the Ford corn head was there own design. 1959 was probably the first year of them for Ford. 1958 was the first year of those for Oliver and they built 50 of them. 4 were sold out of the Columbus branch and 3 of those were in Northwest Ohio, 2 were sold at the dealership I was employed by.

my dad bought an oliver 25 new in 1960,it had the same fold down rad.screen as the ford has in the photo.J how come oliver did not use the super 88 engines in those combines? Dads had the continental flat head six. thanks Kenny btw his had no ps

It was cheaper to buy that 226 plus they had used that engine before. I wonder if all the Ford models had the fold down screen. Notice the early Oliver in 1206's pictures and the picture on the literature. Both have the first type of screen. J.

Hi Guys! Thanks for all your interest and opinions on this old gem! I appreciate it! It's definitely a rare bird! I've contacted several antique tractor auctioneers and none of them have ever seen a 611 Ford combine. And nobody has ever seen one in such nice condition. This was my great uncle's machine. He babied everything he owned. It has seen little use, never seen rain and always stored inside. Still runs great. We'll be putting it up for sale or auction soon so pass the word if anyone is interested. It would be nice to see it go to a combine museum or to someone who we know is going to take good care of it and preserve it for others to enjoy! :)

My dad bought a NEW Oliver 25 with a 10 ft head, and Oliver didn't have a corn head for it till the next year, I remember driving it home 12-14 miles and it jumped outta gear going down hill, liked to scared the crap outta me. If I remember right it had a 4 speed Dodge PU tranny in it, and reverse topped out at maybe 1.5-2 mph, road gear was about 12 mph. NO lights or PS or Cab.

Isaw one about 30 years ago in flat rock, indiana with a corn head on it. I'm sure its scrapped a long time ago.Dont think it was there the last time i went thru years ago. :D
