I hope I got the last one

I'm willing to bet you didn't get the last one. With ear corn at my place I battle rats all the time. When the corn is used up they are gone but come back when I refill the cribs. I had them pretty thinned out over the summer but now with fall coming I see more coming in. I've gone through about 1/2 a bucket of poison in the past month.Trick is to know where they live, eat, etc and keep a eye out and get them early.

Just curious. What kind of rat has a furry tail? The rats around here have a naked "rat tail", hence the description.

Looks like a pack rat. We have Norway rats here that wreak havoc in the equipment. Even with the cats in the barn and the resident owl in the one shed they are still a problem.

Yeah, that looks way purdier than our rats. There was one dead in the drive yesterday morning. I figure it died if old age and the rest of its family hauled it out there to taunt me. I can't stand the idea that they are somewhere out there. It's unavoidable - have hogs, have rats.

We have rats around the bunker silos. Rarely every see one, but I know they are there. The mama barn cats are constantly on patrol. There is almost no time day or night , that if you went to the silo , that you will not see a cat. Bruce

Yeah...that's not a "rat" kind of rat. That's a pack rat or some kinda squirrel. I can deal with those a whole lot better than the Norway or Black rats. I keep my place picked up and three tomcats on patrol.

I wouldn't mind these if they would stay outa the combine they are about like a mouse as far as they must poop with every step they take

I wish I could keep cats around here I do have four horned owls but there enough rodents around here they can't keep up with em all
