Info on McCormick #141 Combine

I am currently acquiring an McCormick #141 Self-Propelled combine from my local Threshing club I belong too. I am trying to figure out info on the Six cylinder PU motor that runs the machine. I want to know what model of IH tractor does it compare to? Cuz the motor is seized currently, has a bad manifold and flange bolt- on muffler is starting to rot off the flange. Also I want to know what year this combine was manufactured in? Here is the info I gathered today when I went for a closer look:

- SN:2445 Combine

- SN:141HT 1961 Engine Unit

Please let me know if you can help me out. My plans are to get it running and run it at our Thresheree for the years to come. Even a paint job may happen too!!

my book shows the engine to be a IHC SD240 6 cylinder, made 56-58, 10'-14' hdrs,55 bushel bin, weight 9005lbs, list price in 58 $6105.00 but I do not have a serial breakdown on that machine sorry
cnt

I have not found a tractor with that engine size, sorry but I am not a IH man, maybe someone will know if a 460/560 will bolt in?

Engine is a Silver Diamond 240. Only know this from personal experience, but the Diamond series (black/silver, etc.) were used in pickup trucks and combines. Better minds than me could tell you when IH began using tractor-compatible motors consistently.

Here is a craigslist ad, advertising a Silver Diamond Engine from the 50's. The town is not too far from me if I can be of some assistance. I do not know the seller.

Good Luck!
