That is a 1958 machine on that literature. The farm the picture was taken on belonged to a Chuck Gunn. The trees in the back are on the north bank of the Maumee River a few miles west of Napoleon Ohio. Notice the difference in the screens over the radiator. I never did ask it that was Chuck operating the machine or one of the crew from Battle Creek that took the picture. J.

Great info guys!! my grandfather bought a new pull-type Oliver some time in the late forty's or early 50's, they put it together right on the rail car, we still have pieces of it here, I always liked the looks of the Oliver's thanks for postings

hey blaine ,,we had a good oliver dealer in Lanesville in , until about,1970 ,, the oliver 25 loox zactly like the very 1st self propelled combine I ever saw around 1961 , it didn't have cab ,my brothers and I climbed up rear ladder engine compartment, grain bin and driver station ,, we were fascinated with it , and all over it , and , of course my sisters had to tattle on us to the owner // he just grinned and gave us boys the 10 dollar tour including ride a round ,, he was the hi school principal that owned it and was payin for it by doing custom combining .he came thru about 4 yrs in a row .... ,, did the oliver and ford share all parts and engines too ,, never knew this til now ,, they do look identical

Air intake screens were different to start with....Oliver 25 had the flat head 226 Continental engine while the 611 Ford had the 223 OHV Ford engine..Oliver had to make the Ford oval on the straw walker hood..

Only one new 611 Ford was ever sold in my area about 8 miles to the SW of me..It used to custom cut some in my neighborhood..

Farm down the road from me had a Ford 611. All through the 80s and the 90s, you could see an Oliver 25 they had bought for parts slowly rusting away in the brush between the corncribs and the road.
