Help with john deere 55

I have a 67 55 combine I bought it and was set up for corn well I have beans this year and no Manuel and dad ca not remember how to set it for beans. So what is the tooth count for drive sprocket and driven for the cylinder. It also has quick tatch feeder house with different sprockets if any one knows what tooth count on that also would be great. And any other settings you could help with concave spaceing fan speed.

March right down to your dealer and order a book.Or get one off Ebay.Combines are too 'complicated' to just 'wing it'.I have books for my 55/95s,use them frequently every year.I'll go to the shop later and look.I'll post back,or call.Send me your number.Steve

I did go to my dealer all they did was laugh at me. I did get one from jensales says to use 24 27 sprocket all I have is 42 48 and 27 the 48 is not even mentioned in the book. It has42 48 for corn now it does an amazing job on corn

Jacob, it sounds like you and I have about the same machines. I have two 1967 55's. When I got mine I went on ebay and bought operator manuals and parts books. I am an old parts guy from way back so it is easier for me to walk in and ask for something by part number. These kids now a days don't know how to look up the old stuff and don't want to learn. Where are you located? I am in the thumb of Michigan.

I am in south central minnesota. All we have here are big
dealerships that all they want to do is sell new. If it is over 5
years old they want nothing to do with it.

I have a '69 55, don't remember what I run for sprockets. Can check and let you know.
Where are you located? I live in Easton.
