Need a massey combine man

I’m working on a 550 Massey with a 3sp gear transmission and I seem to be having more trouble than I should.

I finally got the transmission out of the machine but the left axle [short axle] will not come free of the differential.

I have the transmission split

So… I need to know what I need to do to get the axle free of the differential so I can replace the bearing on the left side

been to many years to say for sure best I remember the axles will slide out of the transmission once brake couplings were removed ,go to agco parts book click on guest user, you can look up a parts diagram that may help you,you use to be able to pan the photos around but some genious change that to where you have to click on the little icon in the right corner above the picture to move it once magnified

I have a factory service manual and the parts books from AGCO.

My problem is the left axle shaft will not pull out of the differential.

I thought there may be trick to it but there must be something else wrong

I figured out what was wrong with my combine axle, the spline was damaged. I had to disassemble the differential and cleanup the end of the axle with a file to get it apart.
