windrowing and combining oats pictures

Some pictures of windrowing and combining 4 acres of oats for a gentleman down the road. This guy is 85 years old and seeded these oats with a team of percherons and an end gate seeder and they were spotlessly clean had some nice red clover seeded underneath. I was wishing I had way more to do as everything went so smooth and easy I was just getting warmed up and I was done.

Good looking oats there. I always enjoyed picking up in the windrow rather than direct cutting, it just seemed everything worked better and the sample was nicer.

Started out cutting cereals with a 175 IH swather then combining with a 93 IH combine....both had planetary steering so you could spin the combine right around and catch the next swath....always pick up the swath heads first remember. Besides swathing 200-250 acres of grain we cut 100 or so acres of hay 2x. Seems like I spent the summer with that V4 Wisconsin behind me.
