You guys never mentioned THIS!!!

Seriously...snow blowing with a combine? I'm SURE I would remember that. Found that picture whilst looking for a pic of a rock trap. It is....um....interesting.

see no reason why it could not be done,,,simply remove feedr house ,, and adapt from there ,,, on the other hand why would anyone want to put at risk their combine in such a manner,,. unless the thresher is garbaged out junk ...

Everything could stay turned off. Just have a hydraulic reel motor or drive chain for the augers. Hook it to the quick tach. I would probably take out the feeder use chain so it didn't accidentally ingest some snow. It swould probably hood good her her to run a little in the winter. It would be a pretty easy fab with a three point unit and would make life a breeze!

I'm with you. I would like to see it in action but don't want it on my combine. Three flights of augers sticking up, what? About six feet? This thing looks like it is serious about drifts. Gonna have to look for some video.

Not a project for me! I'm still trying to figure out the harvesting part. As for running it in winter, maybe a drive around the lanes AFTER the tractor has cleared them? Good visibility, heat...of course I have a little roll in the back 40 and I am not sure I want to add slippery to the joy of downhill combine driving!

The Uni of New Idea (don't think Minnie Moline had the option in their day?) of a factory snow blower on their mule.

However it didnt work well the Mule was very heavy on the left side and very light with only a blower on it on the right side, so you were basically stuck all the time. Folks would bolt 1000lbs of wheel weights on the one side to make it work....

On a more modern combine, the cold winters we have, I wouldn't want that. Getting the hydraulics and vee belts to work in minus 10 F temps would not be fun.
