Problem seems to be finding a long belt. Lots of shorter belts which were probably used on grinders, shellers, wood saws, etc. I have a couple in my shed but don't think any are 100'.

Neighbor donated a 6" sheller belt about 20'. Could get by with as last resort. Holding out for wider-longer.
Grand Rapids belting or Sparks in GR next try.

Thanks for help.

Belt shot. Steamer stretched it to hard and backing came off. Finished running on strings. Need to now clean up on shafts. Looking at new and Quotes as old seem to be gone, and weak. Will run sheller belt if necessary.

Old elevator leg bucket belt might work.

I've got an 8" by 100 or 125' just north of Chicago. It's hanging in the trusses of a 60' long barn doubled up and goes wall to wall. I've got several so I could sell one or two.

use baler belting, I know there are places to get them made up endless . mennonites I think are doing it.the rubber grips better to. several sawmills/planers running them here.

E mail me a Quote on one or both. Will pick up. Might even take ferry across "big pond". Small sawmill also in need of a belt.

Charles, there's no email listed for you. casevac14@tds dot net if your in SW MI I'm just around the bottom of the lake in about as close to SE corner of WI as I can get.

Have you tried Hit&Miss Enterprises out of Orwell,Ohio Phone (440)272-5335. They have all kinds of old style flat belts and in differant widths and lenghths.

Tried h & T. Only list up to 6"
Bought a good used belt on the side.
Thanks,
Now working on lateral tears. Think I'll try drill hole in one side of lateral tear- Thread lacing hooks thru-clap shut on other side. Or "flat head rivets, with washer"- belt patch on outside. will take picture & post.
