Overheated yesterday. And. I know. For sure. Head gasket is. Leaking . And. Now. Has a knock. In. Front lower end . Wondering what. Engine. Will fit. If. I have. To. Go. That route.. has. The. 217 john deere. Gas loving. Thing.

As far as I now,a 217 is the omly one that will "bolt in".A 303 or the old Hercules may be adapted.But I seen several other engines 'farmered' in...

Don't ask how or why, but neighbors years ago put two 327 Chevys in a 105 JD. Would really go with a 634 corn head.
