L2/L3 Gleaner AHHC

Did a search and didn't find anything. Looking at purchasing a late model L2 or an L3. Both are wheat machines and we will be doing soybeans. We've been using a F2 with a floating bar. Can we use a flex header on either of these machines as-is? If not, what came standard for soybeans and what would have to be added to run a flex head?

BTDT with an M2 a few years ago. You need to make the L2 controls into L3 controls. AHHC module in the cab is different, as well as the wiring harness going fwd from cab to header. Basically six wires instead of 2-4? $800 module is NLA from Gleaner, but I found a used one in a salvage yard...I think for $250. Dealer tested, found some problems, but it still works. N series wiring is the one you need if you can"t find it on a M3/L3. (N5?). I"m in Alaska (wow, what a visit!!) but I have part numbers and notes at home.....can post them after Friday. Repost then to remind me.....

IDK if you can visually ID the module by opening the front console door, but if you can, the simple FCB module on a 2 combine is small, about inch or so wide and long. Flex module on the 3 would be a rectangle maybe 2x3 or 4 inches. Anyway, much longer. Plug on cable at feeder front, right side, will have 6 wires in it, to match single plug on flex header. Might have to remove outside white door (right side), or unscrew screws inside cab which hold module/switch in place, to access module.
