what dealers are asking for combines and what they bring at auctions dealers get about 30 percent more and most times still need quite a bit of work.
 
I've seen plenty of auction "steals" that turned out to be money pits. You just have to look them over real close and go from there.
 
A dealer is on the hook for possible major repairs if it busts right off the bat. They are always going to be higher.
 
Just checked july 2014 corn, board is $3.71. If speculator money comes in, and shorts the market it could get more bloody than 30 percent.
 
depending on what your looking at; it can be 50%. I have much better luck on CL or auctions then dealers!
