Belle City 28 X 48 Thresher, Grease externder to straw walke

Can anyone tell me how the grease extentions to the straw walker bearings on a Belle City all steel 28 X 48 thresher are secured? Are they just 1/8" pipe thread? Might have to take one out, to see what I'm dealing with, as they are about 8" long, thru to the top of the straw walker, which is not my foundest contortion position. Need to replace 2 to keep the Historic Charlton Park thresher going. Don't have an operators book either. Ran Barley yesterday. Terrible stuff.

I have restored several threshers. Have not worked on this particular thresher. The pipes should just be threaded into the metal holding the walker blocks. Take it out and clean the inside out if plugged. Enjoy the uncomfortable position as that is part of the fun fixing threshers.

Do you have a picture of your thresher? Wondering if it looks like mine...

Case Collector,
I don't have a picture or video yet but your picture is the same as our thresher.
Do you have an operators manual or parts catalog that you could copy for the "Historic Charlton Park"?
In about 2 weeks WE will bind Oats, for a September show and for storage for next July show.
Hope to get pictures and video then.

Thanks for reply.
Guess I'll set and adjust the thresher based on guess and later observations. Will run Oats this fall.
The problems I had with current run of Barley was.
1. Steam engine on belt. No tachonmeter to see if I was up to 1100 RPM on cylinder speed., or enough time to adjust spike cylinder tighter. Also not dry straw. Consequently heads in clean grain and flow of grain thru scales area. Also will disconnect scale doors and hold open with straps, as running into gravity wagon. I have purchased some aersoil cans of "belt dressing"
I plan on putting my "DC" Case on belt. 38 HP on pulley. Hope that's enough at full throttle.
Ran lower sieve at about 30 % and upper about 1/2 open and chaffer fairly wide open. Was getting good tailing flow.
Fan doors fronts fully open, back closed down.
Not interested in perfect clean grain and amount as reason is demonstration, grain for feed and straw baled.
Only ran about 1/2 load, so fiqured 2 ungreased straw walker maple blocks could stand that abuse, until down time to fix.

Comments on the above appreciated
