Jack got the tires aired up yesterday. He is going to get a battery and get it started! Just drive it right on the truck!!

Thanks Steve. Good pictures. Beauty certainly is in the eye of the beholder isn't it? She's a bit rough around the edges but looks to be all there.

"rough around the edges" is pretty accurate. But it IS all there. It would be an 'easy' restore.

Tom look again, that is a 251 gas a "400" engine not a "SE" or "DE" like the "SP" and 120 used, look where the oil filter is, if it was not so dang far from me it would be here

Someone was looking for a 730 replacement engine on the Case forum, this could be what he needs. I do wish it was closer, but suppose a guy could take just a pickup and save the engine. How far from Rapid City??

There are a couple guys dealing for the complete machine. They want to save it!One is from Canada, the other from SouthDakota. So "parting" is a 'no go'.As to where, we are in western Colorado.

Did Case make the weights on the rear wheels for combines and they were just put on tractors? We had a 960 with rear wheel weights aqnd I think three t-bar weights. Thanks for the photos.

I went through Riverton some years ago, and remember a giant salvage yard just east of town, where U.S. 26 turns north.

Darndest pile of machinery I ever saw.

Stan

Picked up a semi truck load of wheel weights at a foundry in Wichita Falls Tx one time. Stumbling thru their back lot while waiting to load and found wheel weights for 730-830 tractors with the Case Eagle trademark on them. Don't know if Case shipped them to the foundry as patterns or if the foundry made them with the trade mark....nobody out back spoke English so didn't find out.
