Hi:

I have just acquired a JD 780 Windrower/Swather and I need to mount the belt which drives the table. The old belt was broken and off the unit so i did not see how it was routed.

I am looking for help on how to route the belt. Any thoughts or pictures would be great.

Thanks

I have a 800, it's successor, and I thought the drives were similar???

Is this the belt beneath the operator's platform, under your left foot, that drives the shaft with the chain sprocket on it?

For now, here's a link to the parts catalog... NOT sure if anything there is detailed enough to help, but you could take a look.

Hi Bob:

Thanks for the pdf link.

Yes, that is the belt I am referring to. It is a double belt basically under my left leg to a sprocket on the from on the unit which drives a chain sprocket to drive the table. By the looks of it that front sprocket needs to be loosened to somehow slide the belt over it and then the belt must straddle the removable frame section and then straddle the left drive axle.
