IH 230 windrower vs. IH 275 windrower?

I posted a few days ago needing parts for my 230 windrower which I now have everything to get it back together just need to make the time to get it done. I have gotten along good with this machine for the most part and now the local CNH dealer has a 275 sitting on the lot, I havent looked at in person BIL just sent pictures, best I have been able to figure out is its just like my 230 but bigger? Possibility of a diesel otherwise a 6 cyl vs. my 4 xyl engine, double disc steering clutches vs. my singles and gear final drives vs. my chain? My question is what other differences are there between my 230 and this 275? Has anyone been around both to give advise on performance difference? And if the price is right is there enough advantage/ difference to warrant bringing it home? Also it has the double auger hay head on it I've never been around anything like it my 230 is a draper any info on this style head would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What price do they want for the 275? Reason I ask is because most swathers that old are now getting scrapped around here and they can be had for almost nothing. We just scrapped a IH 4000 that we had bought for $500 8 years ago. It worked and we used in on about 200 acres but it was worn out. The 4000 is twice the swather the 230/275 ever were. If its cheap enough just buy it for a backup.

I bought a Ih 275 yesterday on a auction. Paid $900 and then started it and drove it 5 miles home. Not a very fast road gear but I made it. Made one round cutting grass and seemed to work OK. Guess I'll spend the money to grease it and check the oil and see if it will cut 40 acres of hay when it's ready. Drove one like this when I was younger and the swather was new. Was pretty modern machine back then but not so much now.
