Hello, I"m having trouble with my electro clutch. when engaged it will run the head but when I pull into the crop the head stops. Is it possible the brush holder could be bad or is it the clutch itself? Thanks

Have you verified adequate voltage/current getting TO the brushholder? (Including the chassis ground side.)

Make sure you have full battery voltage at the coil terminals. If you do then most likely its a bad coil, you can test that with an ohm meter for resistance or a broken clutch plate. The clutch plate has four flex straps that connect the plate to the hub that like to break. There are two threaded 5/8 holes that you can put two bolts thru to lock the clutch up so you can finish your harvest. A word of advise, that big pulley is very heavy to lift down out from under the cab, BTDT!

I will check the voltage. Its not the belts because I had put the bolts in to finish what I was doing last season. Thanks everyone for the advise.
