Where are you located?
I assume your feeder house is original and you need a 4 hook head. Headers from a K will fit but only the very early ones will be 4 hook. Most will be quick-attach. You can retrofit your feeder house to quick attach but you'll need to get the parts to retrofit both the feeder house and each of the heads.
Older straight E heads will also fit right up but check that the drive is the same. Some were belt driven heads. My EIII has a chain drive for the head on the left side of the feeder house.
I have seen an eBay seller in Central IL sell a few heads recently. Most often you have to buy another combine to get a good head...or at least find a parts combine with a head. Keep an eye out as well on AuctionZIP for any local auctions.
I have a 10 foot pitman style grain head with the wooden hume reel. It's a manual adjust for reel height and speed. I believe you could get heads even for the EIII with hydraulic adjust on those. It's in fairly decent shape and has header height control as well. It does need a few sheet metal cracks brazed or mig welded. HTH. Mike
