Been awhile since this has been done. List your combines and where you are from. This will give everyone an idea of where you are from and what you have. It's always interesting to know what all is out there.

1959 model A that is getting new cyl bars very soon. In the first pic the clean elevator is off because I was replacing the boot. The field pics are of the 2008 wheat crop. Just moments after that pic was taken I got that A bogged down. My neighbor helped me pull it out with the 930 Case. It was so wet I could not even let that bin get half full. <a href="http://s1084.photobucket.com/albums/j401/Prairie_locust/?action=view&amp;current=Picture060.jpg" target="_blank">

1979 Gleaner K2 gas . . . known locally as Frankencombine because it has an adapter to run green heads on it. I had a 1966 Gleaner E with 10 foot head and 2-row corn head, but the transmission dropped a bearing and shot its gears all full of holes, so she went to another E owner for parts . . . . I'm 25 miles up the Delaware River from where Washington crossed it.

Maybe..LOL .....yepp. Still need to haul most of it home...Do you have a Caddy for the rear axle/wheels?would be easier behind the P/U then getting a 102+" lo-boy with winch.....
Where are you located? e-mail's open.

I always wanted to saunter across the road and take a look at those old girls but I was afraid of getting shot LOL. We used to unload combines across the road from there. I also used to haul wheat into the elevator there and I'd longingly glance at them as I went by. Jim

I did the same for many years, But when I saw a pile of red cut up iron, I went to the elevator and asked. He already cut all headers up but 4. One of the S92 goes to another local person. but I made a deal with the owner for the rest and then some other stuff. Thank goodness he lets me take my time moving it.
Supposedly 3 of the S92's ran 3-4 yrs ago harvesting wheat. Makes me hopeful to get one or two back up and running.

Gee, Gleaner! What you should try to find before they're COMPLETELY GONE, is a 1972 Model L, a 1973 Model M and a 1968 Model G.

I used to have access to a 1951 Model A, but the owner [who refused to sell it at the time, got rid of it for scrap after his father died].
I do know of two more vintage A's in Osage and Noble Counties, Oklahoma, if you want ot go that far to look into buying them.

Wow Chris! You must be single ! lolHow do you like running the MH 35 self propelled? I have a broken down 72 all crop and have been dreaming of a 35 mh or mf for its size and self propelled.

He sure does! I came from a place that had 8-45' x 100' buildings, but those were for brooding baby partridge, pheasants and some quail. All the time, I was there, I pondered just how many more such buildings [even 60' x 200' for old combines [and the machines to fill them] could be built with just the revenue of the 2011 gamebird crop. Their value was an estimated $840,000.

the sp 35 is for sale for $500. it ran but broke the cam gear off i have a cam shaft for it but don't have the time right now to put it in. i like them , my dad had one for years, but the F140 continential engine is a cold blooded engine. i have the pull type so i don't need the sp. and i am not single just have time on my hands sometimes and i hate to see the combines go to scrap. i still would like to get a prairie combine like a holt or JD no.7 even a JD 36 would be nice or a case.

Dunno, -- YET!!
E-mail is open, let me know if you ever come this way... maybe I can give you a "close-up look" at them...! Ralph.
