Has anyone ever tried the stainless seals for 200 series flex heads from say Shoup or someone else other than Deere? Less than half price. Thanks....Ron

I have installed several Shoup sets. They work fine. Just make sure you get the correct sets/pieces.

If I was going to run thousands of acres I would go with the JD flex sheets as they are just a little heavier. For the average small farmer the Shoup ones will out last the rest of the header.

While your doing that install ploy on the skid plates and you will have a good dependable header for many years.

Thank-you JD. I'm doing a 213, new auger centre, new auger bearings and plastic finger holders, replacing the old steel seals, the skid pans underneath and plastic, new cutter bar and plastic fingers on new wood on the reels. My 215 I'm using now is going to get the plastic reel fingers and wood and new skid pans with plastic. I've done the auger on that one and it had the stainless seals already. I've always kinda figured you might as well fix the one you have as buy another and then fix it. Plan to use my old 4400 gaser with the blown 292. Got a 4400 parts machine with a low hour 329. Going to try to run the two, the 44 and the 66 in the soys....Ron
