Mentioned this one in a previous post. It sold for $5000 even...just shy of $1 per hour on the meter. The corn head sold for $3500 and some change and the grain table for just over $2500 if I remember correctly. All different buyers. I was not among them. Picked up a Krause folding disk for a good price...10 minutes from my house too. Can't beat that. I cannot remember where I saw the third combine...the Gleaner L.

Been following your combine quest. In February 2013 we bought a 1480 that our local CIH dealer couldn't sell. It had 5500 hrs on the meter but later found out the meter didn't work. They had leased it for 2012 season and done some work to it. They came down to $7500 for the combine with pickup head and 20 ft. 810 grain head. When they were willing to waive the finance fee and roll it into the loan for the tractor we bought that made the deal. Ran over 200 acres through it with no trouble. We had a friend who knows those combines check it out and he gave his approval. I think the salesman was more worried about the combine working than we were.

It looked like a nice machine. Honestly, a tad too slick and modern for my tastes. I am definitely a guy who likes the look of old stuff. Fortunately my wife feels the same way.
